Watercolor, a new collection of Dinosaur Designs designed by Louise Olsen and Stephen Ormandy. Embracing the brand’s familiar yet unique use of color and resin, the collection playfully experiments with tone, fluidity and form to capture the essence of a watercolor painting.

Exploring the serendipitous nature of both the watercolor medium and resin, Watercolor celebrates Dinosaur Designs’ distinct casting techniques developed over decades of experimentation. In a palette of five new colors Strawberry, Water, Cappuccino, Grass and Daisy – Watercolor showcases vivid and painterly castings designed to appear as if they were hand-painted and splashed across the collection’s surface. Thoughtfully chosen for their organic and fluid forms, Watercolor’s homewares and jewellery act as a canvas for the collection’s color, with soft silhouettes and silver accents that complement the vivid tones.

 

 

‘When you see this collection, we’ve explored the enchanting beauty of fluidity and lifeforce of pigment and color. Resin has a unique ability to encapsulate the graceful flow and ever-changing nature of watercolor. Each piece translates the delicate forms and shapes of watercolor, beautifully embodying the essence and why we love the art form of resin’, says Louise Olsen.

 

 

The collection launches on Thursday 17th October 2024 in all Dinosaur Designs stores in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, New York, London and online.
